Multi-spindle lubrication for tools
For multiple tool holders in use at the same time
The 2C system is designed for minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) on machines with several tool holders. It supplies multiple spindles, or tool holders, at the same time, carrying oil and air separately to each tool holder and only mixing the two media there. This separate routing means every spindle is supplied independently and evenly, with the lubrication of one tool having no effect on the others — exactly what is needed when several tools machine in parallel and each requires its own precise air-oil dose. The 2C is part of DropsA's minimum quantity lubrication range for clean, low-consumption machining.
Oil and air are delivered through separate channels to each tool holder, where they are combined immediately before the cutting point to form a finely metered air-oil mixture. Because the media meet only at the tool holder, the dose to each spindle can be set independently and stays stable regardless of what the neighbouring spindles are doing. The result is a precise, demand-led air-oil supply for every tool holder on a multi-spindle machine.
The 2C integrates into multi-spindle machines as part of an MQL solution alongside containers and accessories such as VIP4Tools. The system is selected by the number of tool holders to be supplied and the dose required at each. Where a single point or a portable solution is needed instead, units such as Grip or the MLU may be the better fit.
