For the aerospace industry
Portable minimum quantity lubrication system with magnetic attachment and automatic control.
Ideal for automated drilling units (ADU) and aviation sandwich materials.
The MLU system was developed specifically for the aerospace industry and can be connected to all common drill feed units (ADU). Thanks to the automatic control, the MMS process (minimum quantity lubrication) can be switched on or off depending on material requirements - perfect, for example, when passing through CFRP layers so that the drilling site remains dry.
Thanks to the flexible control, the MLU automatically adapts to changing material requirements and thus enables optimal drilling and efficient lubrication - ideal for the demanding processes in modern aircraft construction.
The MLU (Mobile Lubrication Unit) is a portable minimum quantity lubrication system for machining. It brings tiny, precisely metered quantities of lubricant directly to the tool or working point, replacing large volumes of cutting fluid with a clean, low-consumption air-oil supply. Thanks to its magnetic mount and automatic control, the unit can be deployed flexibly and quickly wherever it is needed — for example on automatic drilling units — without a fixed installation. The MLU is part of DropsA's minimum quantity lubrication range for near-dry machining.
The MLU works on the minimum quantity lubrication principle: a small amount of cutting oil is combined with compressed air to form a finely metered air-oil flow that is carried to the tool. The automatic control triggers the lubrication in step with the machining. Because only a minimal quantity of oil is applied, the workpiece, chips and machine stay largely dry and coolant costs fall.
