MiQueL EXT – air-oil minimal quantity lubrication

MQL system with external pump

Lightweight design for continuous and precise air-oil lubrication

Product description & technical specifications

MiQueL EXT is an externally operated minimum quantity lubrication system that enables perfect air-oil distribution - ideal for precise machining and reduced amounts of lubricant with maximum efficiency.

  • Pump system: External pump
  • Max. oil inlet pressure: 2.5:1 in relation to the air inlet pressure
  • Oil production per element:
    • 0-2 cc/min (Oil 10 cSt to 32 cSt)
    • 0-0.5 cc/min (oil 32 cSt to 100 cSt)
  • Lubricant: 10 cSt to 100 cSt
  • Calibrated pressure switch: 6 bar
  • Solenoid valve power supply: 24VDC

MiQueL EXT – air-oil lubrication with an external pump

MiQueL EXT is the external-pump version of DropsA's MiQueL air-oil minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) system. Instead of an integrated reservoir and pump, the EXT draws oil from a separate, external supply, which makes it ideal where a larger oil volume, a remote tank or a shared supply is preferred. The pump delivers oil at a 2.5:1 ratio relative to the air inlet pressure, combining it with compressed air to form a finely metered air-oil mixture that is carried to the lubrication points. It belongs to the same minimum quantity lubrication family as the standard MiQueL.

Frequently asked questions about MiQueL EXT

How does MiQueL EXT differ from the standard MiQueL?
MiQueL EXT uses an external pump and oil supply instead of an integrated reservoir, which suits applications needing a larger oil volume, a remote tank or a supply shared between units.
How is the oil delivery determined?
The pump delivers oil at a 2.5:1 ratio relative to the air inlet pressure, with a fine, adjustable delivery of 0–2 cm³/min for thin oils (10–32 cSt) and 0–0.5 cm³/min for thicker oils (32–100 cSt).
Which oils can it handle?
Oils from 10 cSt to 100 cSt, with the delivery range adjusted to the viscosity in use.
What air pressure and supply does it need?
An air pressure of 6 bar and a 24 V DC supply.
What are the benefits of the external-pump design?
It gives extra flexibility in system layout — the oil supply can be located remotely or shared — while retaining the clean, minimal-consumption advantages of air-oil MQL.
