MiQueL – air-oil lubrication system

Almost dry machining with pneumatic control

Modular air-oil system for precise, adjustable minimum quantity lubrication

Product description & specifications

The MiQueL system offers a reliable solution for air-oil lubrication in near-dry machining. The modular design and the different variants enable flexible adaptation to any industrial application.

  • Constant flow rate, even with pressure fluctuations in the inlet and outlet
  • Container sizes: 1 liter or 3 liters
  • Flow rate: variable, 0-2 cc/min
  • Air and oil quantities can be adjusted separately for each element

Available versions:

  • MiQueL BASE: Modular system without solenoid valve monitoring and without control valve
  • MiQueL BASE-i: With independent solenoid valve monitoring, without control valve
  • MiQueL BASE-i IP65: With solenoid valve control, protection class IP65
  • MiQueL PRO: With control valve for oil flow control, without solenoid valve monitoring
  • MiQueL PRO-i: With control valve and independent monitoring of the solenoid valves
  • MiQueL BASE NO-EV: Minimal module with pneumatic valve for independent control, without pressure regulation
  • MiQueL CART-i: Modular system on trolley, without oil control, with solenoid valve control

How the MiQueL air-oil system works

MiQueL is a pneumatic air-oil minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) system. It combines compressed air with finely metered oil and carries the resulting mixture to the lubrication points, where a constant, controlled film is applied with very little lubricant. Up to 8 outlets can be supplied, each individually controlled via its own solenoid valve, so different points receive exactly the timing and quantity they need. A flow-compensation valve keeps the delivery pressure constant at around 2 bar, ensuring an even, repeatable supply across all outlets. MiQueL is part of DropsA's wider minimum quantity lubrication range.

Frequently asked questions about MiQueL

What is MiQueL used for?
MiQueL is a pneumatic air-oil minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) system that applies a clean, controlled oil film to lubrication points such as chains, guides, bearings and open gears, using very little lubricant.
How many outlets can MiQueL supply?
Up to 8 outlets, each individually controlled via its own solenoid valve, so points running on different cycles each receive the right timing and quantity.
How is an even supply ensured?
A flow-compensation valve holds the delivery pressure constant at around 2 bar, giving an even, repeatable supply across all outlets.
What delivery quantities are possible?
Variable delivery from approximately 0.2 cm³/min per outlet, set to match each lubrication point.
What are the benefits of MQL over flood lubrication?
By applying only the small quantity actually required, MiQueL keeps the work area clean, reduces oil consumption and avoids the contamination caused by over-lubrication.
