VIP4Tools – air-oil lubrication for near-dry machining

VIP4Tools is a container and accessory system for air-oil minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) in machining. Instead of large volumes of cutting fluid, the tool is supplied with an exactly metered air-oil quantity — keeping the workpiece, chips and machine largely dry and reducing the cost of coolant, disposal and cleaning. The reservoirs come in 1-litre and 3-litre sizes, controlled by a timer or a three-way solenoid valve. VIP4Tools is part of DropsA's minimum quantity lubrication range and complements tool-side systems such as 2C and H1.

How it works

The VIP4Tools reservoir holds the oil and feeds it, combined with compressed air, to the tool as a finely metered air-oil flow. The output to each point is individually adjustable from 0 to 30 mm³. Control is by an integrated timer or a three-way solenoid valve, allowing the lubrication to be triggered automatically in step with the machining or by the machine control.
