Quick couplings for lubrication lines

Quick couplings allow lubrication lines to be connected and disconnected quickly, cleanly and without tools. They are the components that make a lubrication system practical to service: a coupling lets a line, a fill point or a piece of equipment be joined or separated in seconds, without draining the system or losing lubricant. Many couplings include a self-sealing valve, so both halves close on disconnection and no oil or grease escapes. As part of the fittings and connection range, quick couplings keep maintenance fast and the workplace clean. The coupling consists of two halves — a plug and a socket — that lock together to form a leak-tight connection. When joined, lubricant flows through; when separated, integrated valves in each half close automatically, holding the lubricant in the lines and keeping air and dirt out. This makes repeated connection and disconnection clean and reliable, even on a system that is under pressure or full of lubricant. They turn a messy, time-consuming disconnection into a clean, quick operation. The right coupling is selected by the line size, the pressure and whether a self-sealing (valved) type is required. They are low-maintenance; care is limited to keeping the coupling faces clean for a reliable seal and replacing any coupling whose valve no longer closes. A clean coupling is the basis of a quick, leak-free connection.
