Drain reservoir for hydraulic cylinder leakage

The drain reservoir collects the small amount of oil that leaks past the rod seal of a hydraulic cylinder. Every reciprocating rod seal allows a trace of oil to escape over time; left uncontrolled, this leakage drips onto the machine and the floor, creating contamination, slip hazards and waste. The drain reservoir captures that leak oil cleanly through a dedicated drain line, keeping the working area oil-free and the leaked oil contained for proper disposal or reuse. A leakage port is provided between the cylinder's rod seal and the wiper. The oil that passes the rod seal is led from this port through a dedicated drain line to the reservoir, where it is collected. The collected level can be checked visually or electrically, so refilling and emptying become a planned, routine task rather than a reaction to a mess on the floor.
