Nebol lubricators (oil mist systems)

The NEBOL devices generate a fine oil mist (oil fog) that is carried by compressed air to the lubrication points. Oil-mist lubrication is the classic answer for high-speed bearings, gears and chains in enclosed assemblies, where a continuous, low-volume supply of finely atomised oil reaches surfaces that are otherwise hard to lubricate

PRINCIPLE

NEBOL oil-mist lubrication devices

The NEBOL devices generate a fine oil mist (oil fog) that is carried by compressed air to the lubrication points. Oil-mist lubrication is the classic answer for high-speed bearings, gears and chains in enclosed assemblies, where a continuous, low-volume supply of finely atomised oil reaches surfaces that are otherwise hard to lubricate. Because the mist also creates a slight overpressure inside the housing, it helps keep dirt and moisture out — protecting the very components it lubricates. NEBOL belongs to DropsA's oil-mist lubrication range. A NEBOL generator atomises oil into a fine aerosol using compressed air and feeds it through a pipe network to the points that need lubrication. At each point, the mist is brought back into contact with the surface so that an even film forms. The result is a continuous, low-consumption supply that suits components running at high speed or in enclosed housings, with one central generator serving several points. Continuous, low-consumption supply of finely atomised oil Reaches high-speed bearings, gears and chains in enclosed assemblies Slight housing overpressure keeps dirt and moisture out One central generator can serve several lubrication points A robust, well-proven method for hard-to-lubricate components The right NEBOL configuration depends on the number and type of points, their running speed and the surrounding environment. Where individual points require larger, precisely defined quantities instead, an air-oil MQL system such as MiQueL may be the better fit. Our team is happy to help match the device to the application. Datasheet: ▸ NEBOL datasheet (PDF, DE)

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about oil-mist lubrication

What is NEBOL used for?
NEBOL devices generate a fine oil mist that lubricates high-speed bearings, gears and chains in enclosed assemblies, providing a continuous, low-volume film to surfaces that are otherwise hard to lubricate.
How does oil-mist lubrication work?
A generator atomises oil into a fine aerosol using compressed air and feeds it through a pipe network to the lubrication points, where the mist forms an even film on the surfaces.
Why does the mist help keep contaminants out?
The oil mist creates a slight overpressure inside the housing, which helps prevent dirt and moisture from entering and reaching the lubricated components.
Which components benefit most from oil mist?
High-speed spindles, bearings, gears and chains — especially those in enclosed housings or hard-to-reach positions where conventional oil or grease lubrication is difficult.
When is air-oil MQL the better choice instead?
When individual points need larger, precisely defined quantities of oil, an air-oil MQL system such as MiQueL may be more suitable than a continuous oil mist.
