More information

Industrial lubrication brushes for precise lubrication and cleaning

DropsA lubricating brushes are the ideal solution for the targeted distribution of lubricants and the efficient cleaning of moving machine parts. The combination of precision and robustness makes them perfect for automated lubrication systems in industry.

Brushes for lubricating oil ensure uniform wetting of the surfaces and thus enable a long service life of chains, gears and conveyor belts - even under demanding operating conditions.

The easy assembly, versatile application options and high material quality make DropsA brushes an indispensable part of modern lubrication technology.

Lubrication brushes – precisely metered lubrication of the friction point

Lubrication brushes apply lubricant directly and in precisely metered quantities to the friction point — for example to gears, chains or sliding surfaces. Fed from a lubrication line, the brush carries oil to the surface by contact, depositing a controlled film exactly where it is needed and following the contour of the component. This makes brushes the right answer for open gears, chains and racks that are hard to lubricate with a spray or a drip, keeping consumption low and the working area clean. They are a focused part of DropsA's product range and pair naturally with a metered oil supply.

How it works

The brush body holds the bristles that contact the component; oil supplied to the brush wets the bristles, which transfer it evenly to the tooth flanks or surface as the component moves past. Because the oil is applied by contact rather than sprayed, it reaches exactly the area that needs it and very little is wasted. The bristle material is chosen to suit the medium, the temperature and the surface — from Perlon for moderate temperatures to brass wire for hotter applications.

Applications & industries

Lubrication brushes are used on open gears, chains, gear racks and sliding surfaces across metalworking and machine building, packaging and general industry. They suit large, slow-moving teeth and chains where a film must reach every surface, and any application that benefits from clean, targeted, low-consumption oil application.

Your advantages

Even, contact-applied oil film on gears, chains and surfaces
Targeted, low-consumption lubrication of open components
Bristle material selectable for medium, temperature and surface
Reaches surfaces a spray would miss; keeps the area clean
Simple, robust and easy to integrate with a metered oil supply

Selection guidance

The right lubrication brush is selected by the component to be lubricated and the operating temperature, which determine the bristle material and brush size, together with the oil supply that feeds it. For points that need grease rather than an oil film, or larger gear rims, a lubricating pinion may be the better fit. Our team is happy to advise.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about lubrication brushes

What are lubrication brushes used for?
They apply lubricant directly and in metered quantities to the friction point — gears, chains, racks and sliding surfaces — by contact.
Why use a brush instead of a spray?
A brush carries oil to the surface by contact, applying a targeted, low-consumption film where a spray would scatter and miss.
How is the brush supplied with oil?
From a metered oil supply line that wets the bristles, which transfer the oil evenly to the component.
Which bristle materials are available?
Materials such as Perlon and nylon for moderate temperatures and brass wire for hotter applications, chosen to suit the medium and surface.
How is the right brush selected?
By the component to be lubricated and the operating temperature, which determine the bristle material and brush size.
