H1 lubricants: Guide for food-related areas

H1 lubricants are used when occasional, technically unavoidable contact with food cannot be ruled out - e.g. B. in filling, mixing or packaging lines.

Where are H1 products needed

  • Open warehouses/tours near product flow
  • Conveyor technology, fillers, labelers, cartoners
  • Valves/drives across process zones

Selection criteria

  • Medium: Oil (viscosity based on temperature/speed) or grease (NLGI 00-2)
  • Temperature window: Start/operating temperatures & load
  • Material compatibility: Seals/elastomers
  • Vicinity: Moisture, cleaning chemicals, steam

Process & Hygiene

  • Clearly mark refill points (avoid confusion)
  • Coordinate cleaning regime with lubrication plan
  • Documentation: quantities/intervals, batches, filter changes
